Alessandra has been teaching since 1999 and maintains a full time music studio in Niagara Falls, Ontario where she teaches private piano lessons, theory and history from beginner to Associate level. She is an instructor at Brock University in the Department of Music, an examiner for Conservatory Canada and is the Provincial Secretary-Registrar for the Ontario Registered Music Teachers’ Association. Alessandra graduated from the University of Ottawa with a Master of Arts degree and graduate diploma in Piano Pedagogy Research, Western University with an Honours Bachelor of Music specialization in Music History, and has an ARCT in piano performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music. Currently she is pursuing a PhD in the Interdisciplinary Research in Music program at the University of Ottawa. She is also an ORMTA workshop clinician and is the organist/pianist for St. Patrick Church in Niagara Falls where she accompanies two choirs.

In 2008, Alessandra was awarded the Tom and Miggsie Lawson National Teacher Travel and Study Scholarship from Conservatory Canada where she was recognized as an outstanding teacher along with five others from across Canada. She also gives professional development workshops for teachers throughout Ontario. Alessandra is currently a member of the Ontario Registered Music Teachers’ Association where she has held positions at the local and provincial level.
When not practicing jiu jitsu, Alessandra spends time with her husband Calvin and their sheepdogs Scarlett and Ruby.
